This was the day that Ursula took Betty to Brentwood so both could have Andi Saltray do their hair in her usual grand style. I, Jim, was left home to fend for myself. I managed to stay active and several things done. First, the repair man came to fix our ice maker which had quit making ice, of which we consume a lot. Below is the $260 part that fixed the problem.

Well worth it to have an endless supply of ice, Betty had to go in and out the garage with ice trays from our non-ice-making fridges and dump them into the ice container. A real pain. I did not take a picture of the bushy-bearded repair man. Didn’t know how he would take it and I find him a bit intimidating. He radiates an aura of great expertise, far above us mere mortals.
After he left, bought a length of pipe in which I inserted our bird bath that has sagged dangerously for several years. Now it is upright and holds waters and little birds come to have a drink. Kat prowls hopefully below waiting to catch a bird unawares. Not worth a picture.
I fixed myself a fine cheese omelet for lunch. Ursi and Betty arrived home earlier than expected with fine looking hair.

Ursi picked some chard for her supper.

While Betty watched.

They were hungry for Chinese food so we went to the closest Chinese buffet. Good meal. A kind customer took our picture in the restaurant foyer.

And that's all, folks.
